Check-in / Check-out
Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is by 11:00 a.m. Arriving slightly earlier, or want that extra hour to sleep? Should be fine, but please check with us first.
If you cancel 30 days or more before your reserved dates we will refund your payment in full. Cancellations up to seven days before your check-in date will be refunded 50% of charges. We regret that we cannot make refunds after that date. If you face documented extenuating circumstances that require you to cancel or delay your reservation, we will refund your charges and try to accommodate other alterations in your stay. Should similar extenuating circumstances require your hosts to cancel your reservation your fees will be fully refunded.
Guests under the age of 21 are welcome, but they will need to be accompanied by parents or guardians. The cottage is not suitable for children under 2 years. A gate is available to keep small children from climbing the stairs but no barrier can be put across the top of the stairs. The porch is enclosed; however, the pool is not enclosed. A high chair is available.
Guests are always welcome to swim in the pool. However, youth 18 or below must be accompanied by parents or guardians.
We have a no smoking policy inside the Pool House. You may smoke on the front porch and on the grounds. We regret that we will have to charge a fee of $100.00 for the stay if we must remove smoking odors from the cottage.
If you’re coming to Carbondale to party you’ve picked a great city to do so. Unfortunately, just not at our place. Though we’re sure it won’t come to it, unruly behavior will unfortunately result in you being asked to leave. Not good for you. Not good for us.
Please be considerate of neighbors and end outside activities by 10:00 p.m.
The Pool House is a great place for business meetings and meals with family and friends. Please let your hosts know if you will have guests over. They can help with caterers and other arrangements.
Please do not alter the electronics connections to the television and Google Home. We will charge $100.00 for disconnected, reconnected, or broken connections. Please do not try to hook your own electronics such as gaming systems, Blue Ray players, amplifiers, or other peripherals into our television.
Regretfully we cannot allow dogs. We love our dog, Hula, a 4-year-old mini-Australian Shepherd. She is, however, jealous of her territory and does not play well with other dogs.
During the period of COVID-19 virus emergency, we ask that you strip the beds of all linens, blankets, and towels and place them in a basket that will be placed on the porch the morning of your departure. If you have used any pillows upstairs, please do not put them back in the storage baskets. We change all bed pillows, blankets, and mattress covers between guests.
We ask that before you leave, you clean and put away any dishes and kitchenware used and in normal times put dirty towels on the washing machine. Unless you are staying for an extended period and need clean towels, please do not wash them.
The Pool House is not responsible for items left in the cabin. Claimed items must be retrieved within 48 hours of departure date or they will be disposed of. Items may be mailed upon request and guests are responsible for all shipping costs and handling fee of $10 minimum.
